First Cake from Decorating Class

As mentioned earlier, I take cake decorating classes, and this was an assignment for class.

Elegant Cookies

I love baking and decorating cookies as well as cakes.  These are super fun to do, but they take forever, so I usually don't end up making them as often as I would like.  Enjoy!

Welcome Baby Cookies

 My friend recently had a baby girl, and rather than take flowers to the hospital, I made these and took it to her.  It was a hit with the mommy and the nurses.

Vanilla cookie, with almond flavored royal icing.

Ladybug in the Meadows

This was one of my favorite cakes to make.  It took us a long time to make this only because all of the butterflies, bees and mini ladybugs were made out of royal icing.

 

 BUT, while I was waiting for them to dry my little cousin accidentally knocked them over and broke some of the butterflies.  Needless to say, I was back to making more butterflies.  I think it worked out for the best in the end, because my second butterflies turned out so much better.
